Why I built Steward
I wasn’t disorganized.
I was the system.
Every family runs on an invisible operating layer — the appointments, the school forms, the meals, the money, the hundred small decisions nobody sees. Somebody carries all of it. In most homes, that somebody is one person.
I was that person: work, school, church, my marriage, my kids, meals, appointments, money, and everything it took to keep our home moving — all of it living in my head, because nothing else was built to hold it.
I tried calendars, spreadsheets, family organizers, budgeting apps and AI. Each one helped with a piece. I was still the one connecting all of it — the actual system was still me.
So I built the thing I kept looking for: one operating system that understands the family as a whole, not six apps that each understand a fifth of it.
